How Can I Take Control of My Life?

Taking control of my life is one of the hardest challenge in my life, we always have internal and external forces that moves our life around and impact it from all directions, I always try to minimize these external effects (and maybe internal inside me!).

I’ve started reading “Awaken the Giant Within” a really great book that’s written by Tony Robins, and I’m interested to share with you a summary of the book.

Creating a Lasting Change

true changes have to be lasting and continues, Many people tends to change but with fear and dread, because unconsciously they believe that changes are temporarily (Comfort Zone).

same exact changes that individual must make in order to create personal change, that a company must make in order to maximize its potential, and that a country must make in order to carve out its place in the world.

Raise Your Standards

Sincere changes needs standards, the first thing you must do is to raise your standards.

if your standard is to have a minimum financial income, this will reflect in your career development, or in your investing to learn and acquire the required knowledge to reach your standard.

A simple Exercise: Write down all the things you would no longer accept in your life, all the things you would no longer tolerate, and all the things that you aspired to becoming.

Change Your Limiting Beliefs

you are sabotaging yourself if you raised your standards without really believing that you can meet them!

your beliefs shape every action, thought and feeling that we experience, so changing your belief system is mandatory to making any real and lasting change.

Without taking control of your belief system, you can raise your standards as much as you like, but you’ll never have the conviction to back them up.

Change Your Strategy

To keep your commitments, you need a strategy that makes you as efficient as possible. One of the best strategies is to set a higher standard for yourself and believe that you can reach it, then you certainly can figure out strategies and you’ll simply find a way.

You see in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know.
